“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.” James 1:27

Uganda, November 2023

Thank you for all your prayers and support!

This was a very challenging trip health wise with constant attacks from the enemy. Our schedule was very busy and through God’s strength, we were able to do the work He called us to.

We heard so many powerful testimonies on how God is touching and changing lives through all of our projects:

  • Voices of Love School
  • Farming
  • Women of Love Business Shop
  • Bible Distribution
  • Food Evangelism Project
  • Preaching God’s Word
  • Prayer Visits

We thank God for your love and time here. You gave us Jesus and you left us with Him…God richly bless you. This mission was tough but very successful. God bless you. Thanks forever!

Farming

VOL Farm Acreage

The maize and beans at Voices of Love School are doing well. This is a picture with Joshua, who is a Certified Trainer in Farming God’s Way. He is overseeing our farming projects.

Farm Acreage

We’ve had a lot of rain on our main farming acreage. We should still have a very good harvest of maize, but the beans will be less than we planned. We need to plant eucalyptus trees around the property to soak up the excess moisture in the land. We also need to level off several acres that we will use for the animals.

Beans

Animal Project

We have goats, sheep, cows, and pigs. They are a source of milk and meat for the school.

Voices of Love School

Our school continues to be the model school in the region, and the students continue to excel in their studies and exam scores.

We were blessed to hear many testimonies from the faculty, students, and parents on how their lives are blessed and changed through VOL. The children and staff again blessed “Papa Scott & Mama Laura” with songs, dances, and speeches.

VOL Football

We also had a fun time cheering on the boys football team in a match with another school. VOL was triumphant on a late game penalty kick!

Food Evangelism Project

We met with the community leader that worked with our church during the 2 years of COVID lockdown. The government tried to arrest her and Benjamin for giving away food to people. God intervened and we gave away over 20 tons of food during the lockdown.

This also is the team at church that organized the food distribution and Bible distribution during this time. People were starving to death. Our Food Evangelism Project saved thousands of lives, and hundreds came to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Preaching

I preached in 6 services at 4 different churches, all connected with Benjamin’s church. My good friend Michael translated for me and is a great partner. Through God’s grace, many lives entered the Kingdom during the week, and many others rededicated their lives to living for and serving Jesus Christ.

Women of Love Business Shop

The Women of Love are doing a fantastic job running their shop and businesses. Our good friend Juliette is the manager and is very skilled in marketing, bookkeeping and management.

They have several retail and wholesale businesses. They are impacting their own lives and families, but also the community and empowering other women. We are very proud of them and look forward to seeing how God expands this important project.

Bible Distribution

We gave Bibles to many people at Benjamin’s churches. People are excited to be able to own their own Bible.
